Pet Vaccination & Reproductive Surgery Schedule

Current vaccinations are essential when it comes to protecting cats and dogs from contagious, often serious, diseases.

Kitten Vaccinations

Over the course of their first year, kittens need the following vaccinations to protect them from serious diseases and conditions. 

  • 6 to 8 weeks
    • Rhinotracheitis, Calcivirus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia
  • 10 to 12 weeks
    • Booster: Rhinotracheitis, Calcivirus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia
    • Feline Leukemia
  • 14 to 16 Weeks
    • Booster: Rhinotracheitis, Calcivirus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia
    • Feline Leukemia 2
    • Rabies 
  • 5 to 6 months

    While the following are not vaccinations, spaying, neutering and microchipping help protect your cat from a number of health issues. 

    • Spay (females)
    • Neuter (males)
    • Possible microchip

Puppy Vaccinations

Over the course of their first year, puppies need the following vaccinations to protect them from serious conditions and diseases. 

  • 6 to 8 weeks
    • DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
  • 10 to 12 Weeks
    • Booster: DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
    • Bordetella
    • Leptospirosis (Optional)
    • Canine Influenza (Optional)
  • 14 to 16 Weeks
    • Booster: DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
    • Rabies
    • Booster: Bordetella
    • Booster: Leptospirosis (Optional)
    • Canine Influenza (Optional)
    • Spay (female)
    • Neuter (male)
  • 12 to 16 Months
    • Final Booster: DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
    • Rabies
    • Canine Influenza (Optional)
    • Annual Booster: Bordetella
    • Annual Booster: Leptospirosis (Optional)
  • 6 Months
    • Heartworm Test

Ear Mites

Highly contagious and small, ear mites live in mammals' ear canals. 

Heartworm

This parasitic roundworm is spread by mosquitos and has a thread-like appearance.

Hookworm

These parasitic roundworms live in your pet's digestive system and feed on their blood. 

Roundworm

These worms live in your pet's intestine and feed on its contents. 

Tapeworm

These parasitic worms are flat and hook-like. They live in your pet's intestine. 

Whipworm

This roundworm's whip-like appearance gives it its name.
