Dr. Kristen Sakamaki, Medical Director

Dr. Kristen Sakamaki attended Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from 2011-2015 with an emphasis on small animal and wildlife medicine. During her university years, she completed externships at SeaWorld, the Marine Mammal Center at Los Angeles, and overseas at Obihiro University in Japan. Following graduation, she completed a one year-rotating internship in Emergency Medicine at Southwest Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio while rotating through the San Antonio Zoo and SeaWorld San Antonio.

Dr. Sakamaki has a passion for companion animal preventive care medicine with an emphasis on nutrition and dental prophylactic care. Dr. Sakamaki also has a passion for marine mammal medicine which lead her to move from Texas to California to work with marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation at the Marine Mammal Care Center of LA, the California Wildlife Center, and the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Dr. Sakamaki also spent many years overseas in Japan and enjoys speaking conversational Japanese with her friends and clients.

In her free time, your will find Dr. Sakamaki hiking, baking, singing karaoke, and practicing Japanese with exchange students.

Dr. Michael Oshry

Dr. Michael Oshry is a native of Kansas City, Missouri who graduated from veterinary school at University of Missouri in 1960. He served in the Air Force Veterinary Corps for two years as base veterinarian at Norton AFB in San Bernandino. Dr. Oshry was veterinarian at Inglewood Animal Hospital for 43 years and has been at Torrance Companion Animal Hospital for five years. Dr. Oshry was a member of the opossum society and the South Bay Turtle Club. He is a current member of the CVMA and SCVMA. Dr. Oshry has owned many pets ranging from a toucan to a Bengal cat. At present, he has a 40lb. Sulcatk turtle at his home. He has been married for 50 years with 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Dr. Hossein Amini

Dr. Amini has been in Veterinary practice since 2005. Growing up his family had a poodle which name was “Rashi”. This ignited in him the love of pets and desire to help animals. He later obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from university of Tehran in 2005 and started working as a veterinarian. His professional interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Amini lives in beautiful Orange County. His interests are hiking, kayaking, playing music.
