Dr. Kristen Sakamaki

Dr. Kristen Sakamaki attended Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from 2011-2015 with an emphasis on small animal and wildlife medicine. During her university years, she completed externships at SeaWorld, the Marine Mammal Center at Los Angeles, and overseas at Obihiro University in Japan. Following graduation, she completed a one year-rotating internship in Emergency Medicine at Southwest Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio while rotating through the San Antonio Zoo and SeaWorld San Antonio.

Dr. Sakamaki has a passion for companion animal preventive care medicine with an emphasis on nutrition and dental prophylactic care. Dr. Sakamaki also has a passion for marine mammal medicine which lead her to move from Texas to California to work with marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation at the Marine Mammal Care Center of LA, the California Wildlife Center, and the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Dr. Sakamaki also spent many years overseas in Japan and enjoys speaking conversational Japanese with her friends and clients.

In her free time, your will find Dr. Sakamaki hiking, baking, singing karaoke, and practicing Japanese with exchange students.

Dr. Hossein Amini

Dr. Amini has been in Veterinary practice since 2005. Growing up his family had a poodle which name was “Rashi”. This ignited in him the love of pets and desire to help animals. He later obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from university of Tehran in 2005 and started working as a veterinarian. His professional interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Amini lives in beautiful Orange County. His interests are hiking, kayaking, playing music.

Dr. Cara DeLancey

Dr. Cara DeLancey attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University. Prior to veterinary school Dr. DeLancey attended Cal Poly Pomona where she received her B.S. Zoology. Dr. DeLancey first started working in the veterinary field in 2006 and was an RVT (registered veterinary technician) in general practice and practice manager at a veterinary ophthalmology clinic prior to her acceptance into veterinary school. She was inspired to enter the veterinary field by what she considers one of the loves of her life Darla her late canine companion. Her special interests include cardiology, ophthalmology, emergency medicine and rabbit surgery and medicine.

When not at work she can probably be found at the dog beach or on a nature trail with her husband, and 2 dogs. Her hobbies and interests include playing video and board games (including her all time favorite Animal Crossing), drawing and painting, riding her bike, recently taking up crochet and learning Spanish. She looks forward to serving you and your pets as your family veterinarian.
